Lights from inside, projecting stars on the ceiling and walls. The dome rotates, so the star field rotates slowly around your room. There is an option to turn it on With Audio, which will play a 3 minute ‘Intro to the Night Sky’. Bring the night sky inside with Excalibur Electronics’ Talking Planetarium! The voice of “Einstein” can be turned on or off to narrate descriptions of the universe as you marvel at the projected images of stars and constellations.
What the reviewers say
Bought this as a birthday gift for a young nephew (11) who’s gotten interested in the night sky. He liked it and uses it as a nightlight; the only things I don’t like are that the plastic half-globe just sits loosely in the top (doesn’t snap in or anything), so falls off easily if bumped; also, the motor is a little loud when it’s spinning, which makes it difficult to hear the narration. But, for the price, it’s still an attractive, fun, and educational toy.
